Default Vale N/Rt Tips For UWSC

Okay this might deserve to go in the Farming section and I tried to read up and I might be overlooking a thread about this already but I don't think one has been posted. I'll leave it to the Moderators discretion. I saw that Xslash went into a little detail about how to run Vale but hopefully I can be more indepth. I have been playing Vale Necro for a while and I don't consider myself the best but I have developed a few tricks and I would like to share mine and hopefully other people will share theirs too so we can all benefit and cut down our times a little bit.... okay first off then.

Build: OAhjYgHsoSpiOO5BeTriQCVVXMA

That is the build if you arent running with an A/N. Switch Great Dwarf Weapon to Splinter Weapon if your Vale Sin is set to A/N. Personally I prefer A/D's but some people insist on staying A/N.

Armor/Weapons: I have all Radiant Insignias for some extra Energy. Headpeice is +1 Curses and +3 Superior Curses Rune then Attunement Runes on all peices except for +1 Soul Reaping. My weapon is a staff that is 20/10, +5 Energy when above 50% health and +30 Fortitude for just in case.

So you're trying to find a good PUG I usually look for people with good armor and good titles to be in my groups. That doesn't mean they sometimes can't be bad but typically they are the better players. I usually check the Vale Sins skills and make sure they are alright. As long as he doesn't have some off the wall skill like Mending or something he is alright lol. (Even though Mending would mean A/Mo I'm sure you get the point) Now is a great time to PM the Vale Sin and ask him whenever he is ready for you to start attacking to just call the target or ping on the map. This allows you to not break aggro and cause some deaths.

Once in UWSC stand in line with the Sins and go ahead and target an Aatxe that is on the left side of the mobs. This way Aatxes live longer and if you cast SS on them then it will do the most damage. Make sure you know who the Chamber Sin is and so you can be prepared to cast Ancestors Rage and GDW on him. BTW common newb thing to do is not cast Ancestors Rage on the Sin and accidently cast it on yourself... You can ask the Party Leader to put the Vale Sin on bottom but easiest way to target him in battle is by clicking V. So Chamber has the mob. You have casted SS once the rest of the Sins have ran up to the mob and now its time for your second SS. Try to target the other Aatxe but if you cant just picked another monster and go with it. This mob always dies real fast. Then once that mob is dead cast GDW on your Vale sin and let him kill the Nightmares and you can wand them too.

Now back up into the chamber and wait for the Vale Sin to ball the Aatxes. No real hints here besides just always make sure you cast SS on seperate Aatxes. When you come to a Nightmare cast GDW on your Vale Sin and Spirit Rift on the Nightmare and its almost instant death or you can run past them.

Now the Chamber has popped the Lab Reaper and you need to take the Quest Restoring Grenth. Take that quest and then just follow your Sin and keep killing mobs till you make it to the bridge. Once on the other side of bridge you can tell the Chamber Sin to go ahead with Unwanted Guests or UWG. Now once the Vale Sin has gottin them balled up you need to make a few quick runs around the area right passed the bridge to try and pop any nightmares cause they cause trouble during the later quest.

Now your Vale Sin has balled all the Graspings... you need to stand on the South side of the buildings and cast SS and all your skills on them. Make sure you get GDW and Ancestors Rage on your Vale Sin. All this time use By Urals Hammer as much as possible. This mob is easy once the Graspings die then target your Vale Sin, cast GDW weapon on him and let him kill Nightmares. Now stand right there where you killed the Graspings and wait for Vale Sin to ball them up. Now here if you dont have a really experience Vale Sin you need to attempt to target the monster that is in the direct middle to utilize SS. I just Tab as quickly as possible and go with it. Also use GDW, AR and SR. Might not get them all on the first try but they're easy. If a monster breaks aggro do not freak out. You can solo a Cold or two. Just slowly back up and relax. You can always easily run away. Just try to stay away from Terorwebs as they do more damage.

Quest time. So now go over to the Vale Reaper which is now popped and ask the Vale Sin if he is ready and when he says yes take the quest. Once you take the quest run to the Sin and cast GDW and then target the spirits and cast Chilbains. This skill is to take off their IW which causes the Sins some damage as it ignores Shadow Form. Keep GDW on them as much as possible and just keep attacking. A lot of new players use Summoning Stones in this area because they help a lot. I suggest all new players to use them. Keep going around till all monsters are killed and the Sin is ready for the spirits on the cliff. These ones never cooporate and are always a pain. Hopefully they ball up nicely and you can stay at bottom of cliff and just attack from the safe spot. Keep GDW and cast Chilbs on them as much as you can. A good Vale Sin will kill the last Spirit by himself all he needs is you to cast GDW on him then you run all the way back to the Lab Reaper and take the Quest "Escort of Souls"

Now once the souls have came up you need to target the nearest monster so the spirits will stay with you. (Just target them and click back so you don't actually attack. You're just making sure the souls follow you.) Wait for the Sin to ball up all the Mindblades and you need to walk backwards and hold down Z so you can see where your going and slowly walk the Souls all the way to the Mayor that is in the Vale area. If the souls start to run away just calmly target the nearest monster and they will run back to you. Keep walking and once you get to the Mayor then you can run back and help the Sin. Usually the Mindblades will interupt every skill except GDW and SR so just spam them as much as possible and try to not let the Mindblades attack you. Once they are dead then you are finished with your job and you can go chill at the Lab unless someone needs to be rezzed or something.

This is pretty in detail but it will definitely help people. I'll keep adding to it and feel free to post what you think and anything I should add. I don't have a video but there are a few on Youtube. Videos really don't help me. I'm more of a reading person and that way I can fully understand something. Any questions post here or hit me up in game. My IGN is Will Farm For Gold

Thanks alot for this. I always prefer to read about a farm instead of watching vids, this will really help my necro :-)

one question, why do you have to walk backwards when escorting the souls? just to see where they are going?

With essence you walk backwards a tad faster than they run forward.

Yeah but the only time you have any trouble is right beside the mob. I suggest stopping for a moment then proceeding just incase. Once you get out of range of the Vale Sin then you can turn around and run to the Mayor and they will follow you there.

No. You do it so you won't have to stop and the bug where the spirits stop for all eternity won't have a chance of occurring.

Exactly. It just helps everything run more smoothly than stopping and going constantly.
